Raven: October 2006

October has already been a full month with lot's of visitors. Gran came from Texas, and the Russell family (Jim, Tracy, Tosha, Eddie) have been to see us. Sorry guys, I didn't get a lot of Gran holding her great-grand-kids, I was busy just enjoying the visit. I will try to do better in the future.

This month is Raven's 2nd birthday! There are some pictures here of the presents at my house, but the main Birthday Page is here.

	Taken in September, I couldn't help including it on the new page since it was so cute.
	Raven managed to get into the nail polish and worked to paint her nails (alone).
	She really thought the clean up was pretty funny/
	But it doesn't want to wash off.
	She decided to help Mommy clean it up
	Aunt Les sent her a birthday present... what cute boots. Raven put them on immediately and hasn't wanted to take them off!
	She walked outside in her new boots and was explaining these boots are Raven's. She always presses her chest when she says Raven.
	I stepped back a little to include the boots
	Time for dinner and she climbed into the chair, boots and all.
	I couldn't catch what she was asking Tracy for.
	Just being cute. This part is easy for her.
	We were having cocktails out in the garden and Raven wandered over and laid on the swing. She pushed back and forth for some minutes before getting up into the swing.
	Raven and Tracy have been out picking flowers - see them in their hair?
	After giving flowers to BooBoo (and the big-deal he made about it), she had to go back out and get some more for BooBoo.
	Damen came over for a visit that night as well. They get along wonderfully. They climbed up into Raven's new bed and read books.
	Okay, finished those two, what's next?
	Sitting in Grandma Nay's yard eating jelly beans, the center of attention. Life is good.
	Aunt T - can you help me?
	Sipping Colorado Bulldogs in the yard, watching Raven, of course.
	Watching the swing go back and forth. She is learning to get out the way on the rebound.
	Had to include a closeup of Raven doing Pattie-cake-pattie-cake. This is the roll'em up part.
	Aunt T took her on an adventure walk to collect flowers for everyone at my house. Sue (in the background) holds her prize.
	The flowers were such a big hit, and BooBoo made her feel so good when she gave them to him, that she HAD to go get somemore for him. As soon as she found these, she took off like a shot to run back to the house and give him more!
	It was kid-center at my place that night. Raven, Damen, Athen, Tallen all had a good time though. Notice Damen leaning on the mommy-type-person-who-surely-won't-mind?
	McDonald's is now giving out little "players" that include one song. Raven shared the experience with Damen. Sound comes OUT that end sweetie..
	Oh, I get it.
	Aunt Les, the boots are a huge hit. Getting her to wear ANYTHING else is hard now.
	Tickle tickle Brother.
	Playing in her room at my house. Love those Raccoons Lauren.
	Hmmm, what can I get out next?
	This end goes here, ahhh, that's the ticket.
	Wonder what it tastes like?
	May I have a fork please Grandma Nay?
	Please turn the fire on Grandma Nay.
	Raven attempts to mist her hair to make the fly-away's lay down.
	A quick sip off the mister bottle isn't a bad thing either.
	It's her birthday, and Colt, Amantha, Athen, Damen, Matt, Molly, Gwen, Dryrck, Britene, Glenn, Raven and Tallen came up for dinner and presents. The three big kids play in Raven's room.
	These three get along great.
	Damen and Raven share a coloring book.

	They even share the same book!
	It's time to unwrap presents now, and Gwenie help deliver the presents to Raven while she starts on the first one.
	Damen wasn't too happy that "Raven wasn't sharing" the whole opening presents thingy.
	Britene gives Raven a hand with a hard part.
	So intent on what she is doing, she doesn't know what it is yet.
	Still not sure what it is.
	Hmmm, can you get that out of there so I can see what it is please?
	Hard at work on a new present to unwrap while Athen checks out the music player.
	Ahhh, a new book full of pictures and explanations, yippie.
	Everyone is so busy checking things out.
	Athen chews on Raven while she checks out the baby care kit she got.
	Time to unwrap another one. Damen can't wait to get into the desk caddy.
	It's a lot of work unwrapping all these presents!
	Here Mom, could you open this one please?
	Amantha smiling at Damen now that he is calmer.
	Raven attempts to feed her new baby monkey, but he moved when she put the bottle in (to hold it himself!) and she jumped back.

	Okay, think you can do it now?
	A little bit of a sugar high, the crib is a good place to work that off.

	All decked out in her gloves, knee pads and elbow pads. Nope, no trike in sight, just like wearing them.
	She saw me take the picture and promptly turned and said cheese. How could I resist another one?
	One of her fingers is not in the right hole. Grandma Nay, help please?
	Raven and Tallen came over Saturday night while Britene had to work the late shift. She was busy trying to undo the zipper
	Zipper is undone, now for the arms...
	...okay Brother, ready to play??
