She is home from DayCare, and nothing would do except she pulled her hair tie off and teased Mommy running away so Britene couldn't "fix" it again. |
|---|---|
She stands there with the tie in her hand... nope, not right now thanks. |
Britene asked me not to include these pictures, since Raven's hair was "messed-up", but that was the point wasn't it? I trust no one will tell her it is here... =) |
She came over the next day. We played outside. Someone fired up a chainsaw and this drew her attention. See, there have been tree-trimers in the neighborhood (next door in fact) knocking down whole trees and feeding it through a giant wood-chipper. She has been fasinated with the men so busy outside and a little scared of all the really loud noises. |
She quickly went back to "work" feeding rocks through her little mill. |
During her work, she encountered a pine needle. Needles and cones go "over the fence". This keeps her busy and clears my garden area... it's a win-win. |
I called her name while she was on the way to throw the needle over the fence. God I love having Grand-kids. |
Playing outside is really hard work and quickly works with the swing to bring about a big yawn. |
When I asked her if she was tired, she gave me this look. I took this as a yes. |
Daddy had her outside too eat a pop and took a bunch (10 or more) of pictures of his little girl enjoying their time. |
Had I had to show her profile... |
...and the front view. Can you see how she is changing, or is it just me? |
One of her new favorite things is to "ride the knees". Up and down. What a workout! But it makes her happy, so who can resist? |
I had setup a new computer and keep a slide show of pictures running on it for her. She loves to watch and yell out everyone's names as they appear! |
She can watch for hours and hours. Or just 2 minutes. Depends a lot on her mood. |
She gets so serious sometimes while watching I can't help but laugh. |
Okay, enough pictures, let's go outside and play! |
I tried explaining about the wheel in the front of the thing and how it has handles for pushing. This is just easier for her I guess. |
I sit in the swing and she walks back and forth between me and the toys. Sorry, I am so busy smiling and talking to her when she walks TOWARDS me that I forget to take the picture until she is walking away. |
Raven got to hold little brother. Look at the trust Tallen has in his big sister. There are others of them together on Tallen's August page. |
Britene is going back to school and was "boning up" before the placement test. Raven decided SHE wanted to take on Math as well. |
Mom caught her in mid-speach about how much she wanted to help Mommy with school. |
Mom put Tallen in Raven's lap. They took quite a few of these with various smiles, grimances and such. I put one here and a couple on Tallen's August page. |
Tracy came up and helped me out by giving Raven a bath (such a chore, huh T?) |
Not too sure what Tracy asked her, but this look was pretty priceless. |
Bo taught Raven ALL about her wheelbarrow, in a way that was just too cute. Playing with her and the wheelbarrow won't EVER be the same again. |
After her ride around the yard, Raven NOW understands the reason for the wheel up front. |
We were trying to get all the Rogers family members together for a group shot. Glenn kept Raven entertained with a song about an Itsy-Bitsy spider. You should HEAR her sing this song! |
The family photo is starting to come together. |
It took several shots, but here is one of the best. There is another on Tallen's August page. |
Okay, back to play time. Ever the clean fresk, Raven inspects the rake to ensure there are no leaves, pine needles or whatnot on her tool of choice. |
And now that she understands the wheel thingy, she is drawn to the wheelbarrow over and over. |
She and Bo played a game of catch. Can you see the ball over her head heading AWAY from her and not towards Bo? When she gets it lined out though, she might be pretty good at softball cause she sure has an ARM! |
Commenting on Britene's trim figure less than one month after Tallen was born, she gave us a quick spin. Raven watches from the deck.
Had to include this picture to show some SCALE betwee the two of them. Seems like just yesterday Raven was this size. |
Britene, Glenn, Tallen, Raven and I went to Mackey's for my birthday dinner. Raven was especially cute and playful. |
She ate part of a lemon, this is the face she made -- yuk! |
Raven has some of the same expressions that Britene can get... anyone recognize this one? |
Raven blowing a kiss - or asking for something, not sure which this is. |
A pinker version of the Rogers family. This is the sunburn that landed Glenn in the hospital. |
Can you hand me that? |
Raven loves Zach, and asks him to come play with her. This involves holding the coloring book and turning the pages on demand. |
Zach, ever the gentleman, smiles for us to show he is okay with it all. |
Raven explains to Tracy HOW she knows this is the right shoe. |
Out of her routine and tired, Raven threw a little bit of a fit. Britene took this picture once she wore herself out enough to fall asleep. (She hadn't wanted to take a nap, that was the fit!) |
Rested now, she and Tracy play "farmers" on the tractor. |
Zach's Go-Cart is also a pretty cool plaything. Here we can see Raven exiting like a pro. |
Tracy and Raven out for a walk. Poor Tracy, EVERY time she turned around, there was Raven asking to play/walk/talk. |
Bo and Tracy took Raven out for a quick ride right at sunset. Man, that was fast! |
