This month has been full of new things for Raven. New teeth, new clothes, new friends and new experiences. Watching a young child develop and explore her world gives me a sense of *rightness* in the world. And despite the creaking joints and aching back, I feel younger just watching her. I hope that you feel the same as you watch her grow.

While she is trying to get the bandana off her head, Dad snaps a quick picture. I think he enjoys the dress up part more than Raven.
She has the walking thing down.
Showing us all how limber she is. She sat and then stood up (no hands) from this position. Yikes!
Chewing on her comb because it feels good on those new incoming teeth.  Look at how long her hair is getting! Soon it will be time for the "first hair cut". Britene is waiting until they want to cut enough to make a great "curl" for her baby book.
Although she is walking really well most of the time, there are times when she starts to tip over and has to catch herself.
She has discovered she likes oranges.
Raven loves dancing to the kids program that Britene plays for her. She can be seen dancing all around the room with the funny characters
The soul of concentration, she attempts to hold the button down long enough to get the lights to spin around and around.
Busted trying to sneak the phone to make a quick call. Oops, you saw me!
Yeah, I know it looks stupid, but how cute am i?
She has this full-out belly laugh that is hard to resist.
Go ahead and bring my food in here so I don't miss my show Mom! Please?
It's now hard to catch her in frame -- she just walks away -- pretty quickly sometimes.
She smiles to beat the band. It involves her whole mouth, cheeks and eyes.
She had to stop grinning to massage those new teeth. Even cutting teeth, she is a happy child.
What can I say? She is pretty precious!
Okay, that's enough pictures, gotta go!
Perhaps she will be a bunny rabbit for Halloween?
Running her tongue over the newest addition. It's still a little tender. Notice that she (like her Mother) can turn her tongue upside down.
Just walking around, because she can.
Yes, the camera missed her eyes open and her big grin, but I thought this was a pretty cute picture nevertheless.
When she gets tired, she pretty much just falls out wherever she is. Thank God the boppy pillow was close.
At one minute to midnight, she got to open one of her birthday presents. Yes, that's right. It's midnight and she is still up.
Britene loves the Britanny Spears hat that Aunt Les got for Raven. Raven on the other hand is a little unsure of it. By hey, as long as Mom is happy....
It's a little big (I believe it is an 18 month outfit) but it won't be for long.
The next morning, she gets to come to my house for a while so her Mom dressed her in the overalls I love so much. She was showing me her toys and where they go before we left.
The night of her birthday party Mom dressed her in the birthday hat just for little Princesses. What a cutie.
Here we see the little darling doing the Princess wave to all her family.
Wow, where do I start?
She was not too sure about being able to tear the paper since everyone stops her whenever she tries this on her own with magazines, phonebooks, notes and such.
All those new toys and she still loves her singing worm.
Hmmm, Granny sent some really cool clothes.
Couldn't resist the snow boots even though they are one size too big. Perhaps by the time the snow arrives they will fit.
Raven had a blast watching Mom blow out the candle when she reached for it. So much in fact, we did it at least three times, just to see the belly laugh.
In keeping with tradition, Britene and Glenn allowed her to play in her first cake. She wasn't impressed with the squishy feeling and wanted out of there pretty quick.
Raven eats puffs after the presents are all open while Grandma Nay continues to play. It doesn't take much to keep me entertained.
That little 2 inch step up into the house is sometimes too big to take standing up so she crab walks down
My phone rang and she put her hand up to her ear..

Hello, can you hear me now?

She can't get enough of me spinning her around and around in the big office chair.
So, what do you think of my new outfit?
Just three days later, and she takes the step up and down with a little help from the door jamb
What a face! Of course, she is chewing on a wagon wheel, but does this look like Glenn or what?
As you can see, she really likes the wagon wheels! Look how excited she gets when I offer her one?
Hey, this looks like a good seat, just my size!

She is so cute looking for something down at her level to sit on. The wine rack came in handy for that quick little rest between the back and front parts of the house.

See how pretty this is? My Mommy gave it to me
Since she has no chair with easy access, she has learned to squat pretty well.
Had just told her to be careful, notice the look she gets when she is concentrating on her steps?
Samantha and Raven play a game in Sam's lap. Raven really likes Sam.
She has a talking worm which she loves to carry around. She lost it going up the step (too much to think about all at once), but soon picked him back up to continue her journey.
She has learned she can carry him by the string... not sure what she is thinking now since she isn't standing up, but man did she try to pick him UP this way.
Sandy and Sam (neighbors from across the street) had a wonderful child filled party at their house where Raven was invited to play. Raven is watching the kids stick their hands in a "box of brains" searching for a prize.
When it was her turn, she pulled out a bug! Well, she had help. Sam put it in her hair and Raven froze. I don't think she wanted to lose it.
Everyone who found a bug, got a prize... even Raven. They bought one just for her! Yep, that's Winnie the Pooh
Boy does she love those Wagon Wheels!
She wiped her hands together when all done with the Wheel. Then asked for another.
I called her name as she walked by. This was a definite "huh"?
A few minutes later, I called her name again. See a common theme here?
Bought her a new outfit, complete with matching socks (Celeste should be so proud) and she was walking to show it off. What a little girl walk she has.
In imitation of the adults in her life, she walks and talks on the phone. Nope, there isn't a phone in her hand but at one, you can pretend.
Up on the sofa playing by herself. She gets up and down now with no problems.
Getting dressed for Halloween. Only half done and up she went!
The trio of kids, ready to head out and score some candy! Yes, it's Peebles, Bam-Bam and their Sabertooth Tiger
Walking down the lane, trying to stay upright with the cat boots on
Glenn inspects her haul, like any good parent in today's world.
She watched the others get theirs, soon it's her turn... yes please and thank you.
Happy with her choice, she heads off for the next house
Back at the house, she shares her crib with Bam-Bam (Damen) and they bounce off the crib on a sugar high
Britene made her face up for work and grabbed a picture for us. Of course, this is at the END of the night so we lost some of the effect.
