Too Cute

Not any one specific event or day, these are some of my favorites. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. I will probably add to this over the upcoming months. The best of the best, so to speak. In fact, all the the pictures that make it to "picture of the week" will be moved to here when their week has expired, so check back.

How sweet is this little angel face?
Okay, so she has gained a little weight since I last updated this page. The day of this picture, they weighed at the Doctor's office -- 9 lbs! Almost double her starting weight in just about one month.
Peek a boo.

Just after a bath and she was content to just hang out in the towel... her Mom quickly covered her up when I grabbed the camera. Britene doesn't want Raven to have any "blackmail" pictures on file... I wonder why?

Can you see this thought? She has sure figured out how to "cut her eyes" at someone not doing what she wants. Doesn't Britene look happy?

Britene is heating up a bottle for little Raven. Raven isn't content just to wait, she has to make little noises to hurry her Mom along. Those little sucking/smacking/kissing noises are almost heartbreakingly cute.

She is just so darn soft and smells so good, who can resist a quick little kiss on the head?

Boy, I can almost see this conversation...

"So, Dad, what do you say to loaning me the car, forgetting my grades and I will clean up my room when I return? What do you say? Huh? I won' t be gone long, I promise"

One of my favorites is this little angel dressed up for Halloween. You have to know Britene and I shopped for her a costume, to no avail. Dressing her in her best was all that Britene could do, but didn't that work out well?

Glenn and Raven practice for the Kung Fu baby competition next month. She really likes it when Glenn plays with her. You should hear her squeak.

Raven -- in her Daddy's lap -- reaching up for the camera. I believe she thought she could reach it.

She is so at peace with everything and everyone. It has been a while since I have seen a baby this calm and this beautiful.

Britene smiles every time she looks at Raven - well - almost anyway. Raven seems pretty taken with her Mom as well.

Feeling better now, awake more.  She is laying here after a diaper change just watching Britene and I hover over her. I just can not get over how at peace this child is.

She was talking to her Momma a little. Just a "hi, how ya doing" kind of squeak. I have heard more than 8 different squeaks to date. Britene is having to "wait" until she cries before feeding her because she is afraid that she is accidentally teaching Raven that all she has to do is squeak and Brit worries she can't hear the squeaks at night.

Grandma Nay changed her clothes after a little spit up issue, while Mom swooped in for a quick upside down snuggle. We were kinda tag teaming her. She didn't seem to mind though.
Father and daughter are hanging out together. Raven has begun to develop a personality and her own needs and wants. Glenn tries to interest her in a bink, but she just wants to play.
This gives new meaning to the words... "Just hanging out".
You can not see me -- right?

She held her eyes tightly closed while making those little sucking noises to let me know she was hungry. Notice her little eyelashes are starting to come in? You can see them now when her eyes are closed.

Why are you teasing me with a finger?

At this point, hungry is pretty much what she conveys best. Even mad and hungry, she still has a smile for her Mom.
