Christmas 2004 was a little bit strange for all of us. Normal times are out the window now that there is a new baby to contend with. Britene and Glenn pass from the status of "kids" to "parents" without much warning. Raven is too young to travel long distances yet, and Britene and Glenn are working hard to meet monthly obligations and can not yet afford to travel distances. In other words, normal new parents. I took a few pictures of Christmas morning at the Rogers apartment, but forgot to buy silly string, or stockings, or stocking stuffers or egg nog. Next year they are going to Washington for the holidays, not sure what I will be doing. That is one year away, so I guess I have some time to decide. Don't want to miss the little one unwrapping gifts from under the tree don't you know.

Raven makes faces while her Mom helps her unwrap her Christmas eve gift. Disregard the date, the batteries were out of the camera again.
Once she gets into the concept, she begins tearing paper with a vengeance. Well, not really, we posed her. She is only 2 months old after all.
She got to try out the new swing on Christmas Eve, she fell right to sleep of course. I guess this means the gift was a hit.
Britene and Glenn unwrap a gift marked "Rogers family" together. You can see the together, right? In Glenn's lap, Britene unwraps. Hmmm.
Glenn got to unwrap Pooh Bear for Raven. Not used to the child proof methods of wrapping, he took almost 10 minutes to detach the bear from the cardboard. Practice for next year.
Britene asked for a couple of things in particular, one was a bottle of "Worship", a tanning bronzer. She unwraps it in front of the newly mounted pictures on her "rogue gallery" wall.
Raven got to watch a lot this year. I am betting next year will be a different story. Alice, Britene and Glenn both LOVE the scrap book!
Twin cordless controllers for PS2. He was pretty happy.
Britene and Raven mug for me some on Christmas day. Aren't they beautiful?
Yikes, Pooh Bear is coming this way! Raven was very interested in everything the Pooh did. Not sure she trusts it completely.
Raven watches intently while Britene unwraps one of her gifts. I think she is taking notes for next year.
Raven nibbles on Britene's arm while she attempts to spread out the outfit Grandma Nay got her. It's a little too big for her right now. But then, most things are.
Since Raven won't have a memory of this Christmas, Britene wanted a picture of her and her gifts. I thought her arranging the gifts and Raven was so cute.
