Tallen: August 2006

August has just begun, and already it has "been a month" for him. Like all little boys in today's world (that aren't required by some religious beliefs), he had a visit to the doctor's to snip snip. This NORMALLY isn't a cause for grief. Well, his snip was a little too deep. After they cauterized it, and cauterized it again, and AGAIN, they finally had to put in stitches. Poor little man. Only two weeks old and already have a time of it!

He is all dressed up in his cute little outfit. What a little man!

Dad puts his hand on his son to show some scale.

Look how peaceful this little man is. Remind you of anyone?

All dressed up for a road trip. This was the road trip from hell for him. To the Doctor's!

Like most baby's under one month old, he lays around a lot. Here we see him on my couch on a historic event... I got to babysit him while the Britene and Glenn went out. It was only 3 hours, but hey! I loved it.

I love this little grin in his sleep. He was very peaceful that night. No bother at all.

Here is a picture of Britene's two favorite men. Well, one man, one boy...

A closeup of the little bundle of joy resting quietly in Dad's lap.

He got to visit my house for a little while. When I laid him down, he went out to the world.

Tallen found a comfortable place in Dad's lap to take a nap. You know at that age, napping it what they do a lot of.

I couldn't resist showing a closeup of Tallen snuggling in Dad's lap, just as Britene couldn't resist taking the picture, how cute is this little guy?

Raven got quite a kick out of holding little brother. Although they took 10 pictures of them on the couch, I only included the three best.

Look at Raven's lashes as she holds her little brother. She calls him "brother" or "Tallllllweeeeen'.

She was very good at holding his head up for him. Can you see that she loves him?

Fresh from a bath, Tallen gives us the face that Glenn is famous for.

In the middle of changing him, they couldn't resist this picture.

Tracy got to feed the little one, which is such a fun thing to do. I guess it's that way when the baby isn't yours and you don't have to do it all the time.

Jim and Tracy, Zach and Daniel came up on the weekend. I couldn't resist a picture of Bo holding Tallen. Brings back memories, huh Bo?

Everyone came up to my house and we captured a few pictures of the family together.

It took several pictures and not everyone was "paying attention" but look at this happy family.

Like I said, it took some doing to get everyone on the same page, but I couldn't resist showing Tallen in this picture. It's like he is saying "Good Grief"!

One of the best of the group together, except that Raven's wants down to play with Bo... now please?

After all the picture taking is done, Raven get's a kiss from brother, thanks to Dad. How sweet is this?

Snapped a picture of the little guy sleeping peacefully at my house. Of course, at this age, sleeping is what he does best.

The next morning was a little different story. I don't think he was very happy with me just then.

Hey Dad! Over here!

Michelle (Shelly) got to hold Tallen our last trip down to the valley. He squirmed a little until he found that "just right" place.

See, now he is comfortable! He passed right back out.

Naturally, Tallen gets a place of honor in T's house... he occupied most of the couch!

Poor baby. Having to be held! It's funny, 8 or 9 pounds doesn't feel like much until you hold him for more than 30 minutes!

Look at this little bundle of joy. Tracy couldn't help but kiss his little head.

Like all babies who are breastfeeding, let him feel a little skin and he will try to eat it!
